These terms govern your use of HATS, a browser extension and website operated by ContAlert Sistemas Ltda (CNPJ 69.603.022/0001-42), Brazil ("we", "us"). By installing the extension or buying HATS Pro you agree to them.

1. What HATS does

HATS inspects the website open in your browser and reports common security weaknesses, such as missing security headers, leaked keys in JavaScript, public source maps, insecure cookies and weak email authentication records. Its checks are passive: it only reads what the website already serves to any visitor.

2. No guarantee of security

HATS helps you find known kinds of problems. It does not find every vulnerability and does not make any website secure. A good grade is not a security certification. HATS is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.

3. Acceptable use

Use HATS only on websites you own or are authorized to test. You must not use HATS or its results to attack, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to any system. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you.

4. HATS Pro subscription

HATS Pro costs US$ 1.90 per month, plus any applicable sales tax or VAT, and renews automatically each month until cancelled. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. You can cancel anytime from the link in your Paddle receipt email; access continues until the end of the paid period.

5. License key

Your HATS Pro license key is personal. Do not share or publish it. We may disable keys that are shared or abused.

6. Changes

We may update the extension, these terms and the price. We will announce price changes before they apply to your next renewal, and you may cancel before then.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to HATS is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. This does not take away consumer rights you have under the laws of your country.
